**************************

SOLDIER-SCHOLAR is a bi-annual journal of contemporary military thought
published by the Military Art and Science faculty at the US Air Force
Academy. We are currently seeking paper submissions for our Fall 1996
issue focusing on Warfare in the Information Age. As highlighted in the
President+s 1996 National Security Strategy of Engagement and Enlargement,
"the threat of intrusions to our military and commercial information
systems poses a significant risk to national security." We would like to
publish papers discussing both offensive and defensive issues, and we hope
to examine not only emerging technologies, but also the strategies
currently in development which will use those technologies.

Please consider the following when submitting papers:

1. Articles should ideally be 2000-4000 words in length, though
submissions of all lengths will certainly be considered.
2. Papers on topics other than the main theme may also be published; you
are welcome to submit articles on other subjects.
3. Please submit 3 copies of your paper which do not include the author+s
name or any other identification. Additionally, a brief synopsis of your
thesis and main points is requested on a separate sheet.
4. Please also send a computer file copy, using a format which can be read
by Microsoft Word 6.0.
5. All articles are subject to editing and proofs will not be sent to the
authors prior to publication.
6. Deadline for article submission: 15 October 1996

If you have questions about this issue in particular, or SOLDIER-SCHOLAR
