ECS is an advanced event correlation technology product that correlates events from multiple system layers and is integrated with Network Node Manager and HP OpenView Operations. PLATFORM: HP OpenView Event Correlation Services (OV ECS) ECS 3.31, ECS 3.32, and ECS 3.33 running on HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, and B.11.23, Solaris, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Linux. DAMAGE: This vulnerability could be exploited remotely by an unauthorized user to gain privileged access. SOLUTION: Until patches are available the potential vulnerability can be avoided by moving the ecscmg.ovpl file from the cgi-bin directory into another directory.
