PLATFORM: Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody) Red Hat Enterprise Linux - AS, ES, and WS, both 3.0 and 2.1 versions SGI ProPack 3, SGI ProPack v2.4 DAMAGE: A remote user could cause an rsync daemon to write files outside of the intended directory tree. This vulnerability is not exploitable when the daemon is configured with the 'chroot' option. SOLUTION: Update your rsync package either with Debian or Red Hat new packages, or directly from 'rsync' with either v2.6.1 or the new v2.6.2. ______________________________________________________________________________ VULNERABILITY The risk is LOW.
