The pam_authz module in this portion allows the system administrator to use netgroups or authenticate to various services. Vulnerabilities with this pam_authz module have been identified in versions B.02.00 and B.03.00 which can allow r-commands or other services to execute under the wrong user id. AFFECTED LDAP-UX B.02.00 and B.03.00 SOFTWARE: PLATFORM: HP9000 Series 700/800 running HP-UX releases 11.00 and 11.11. DAMAGE: Attackers could gain unauthorized privileges.
